The Way I See It is the third studio album by American musician Raphael Saadiq, released September 16, 2008 on Columbia Records in the United States. It was also released April 2009 in the United Kingdom.[11] The album debuted at number 19 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling 23,000 copies in its first week.[12] Upon its release, The Way I See It received generally positive reviews from most music critics, based on an aggregate score of 79/100 from Metacritic.[13] It was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album, losing to Jennifer Hudson's self-titled debut album at the 51st Grammy Awards.
